What is the physical body?

The human body is not just a sum of chemical elements. It is a living, intelligent structure that carries within it the light, rhythm and memory of existence. It is composed mainly of oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium and phosphorus, with traces of elements such as potassium, sulphur, sodium, chlorine and magnesium, but also gold, silver, lithium and others. Although they are present in micro quantities, nothing in the body is accidental, everything has its reason, its frequency, its place in the whole.

Our body is constantly renewing itself. The skin changes every 27 days, the skeleton regenerates every seven years, and at every moment hundreds of thousands of cells are born and die. This means that we are not fixed beings, but are in a constant process of self-renewal. From a systemic perspective, this process is not only physical, it is also energetic, spiritual, emotional. When we free ourselves from inherited patterns and low-frequency emotions, we open space for a new life force to renew us from within.

The scientific discoveries of quantum physics, from Ilya Prigogine to Victor Weisskopf, show that everything that exists is made up of subatomic particles vibrating in emptiness. And it is precisely this “emptiness” that is the source of energy, the carrier of information and the foundation of the intelligent field that organizes life in the body. This coherent field, which in the Orthodox spirit we may call the Divine matrix, guides all the functions of the organism and enables its healing, growth and renewal.

In the practice of presence, when we observe the body with attention and conscious intention, we are in fact coming into contact with that field. Through conscious silence, we set deeper regenerative processes in motion. We do not change the body by force, but allow it to return to its natural state by releasing burdens, systemic entanglements and subconscious patterns.

From the Orthodox perspective, the body is not an obstacle to the spiritual, but a temple of the Holy Spirit. The human being is not only “of the earth” but also “breathed into by the Breath of God”. It is precisely in this dynamic of body and Spirit that the potential lies for us to live embodied holiness, in our everyday thoughts, movements and breathing. Our body is then no longer just a biological mechanism, but a conscious instrument through which God's grace pours into the world.

In Buddhism, the body is not seen as something to be transcended, but as a vehicle of awareness. Dwelling consciously in the body through breathing, walking and eating is the first step towards freedom from suffering.

In Hinduism, the body is a garment for the soul (atman), one of the five layers (pancha kosha) through which consciousness passes. It is the Annamaya kosha, the layer of nourishment, built from what we take in, but also from what we breathe, feel and think. When the body is cleansed, it becomes more transparent to the light of the soul.

The Bhagavad Gita says: “The body is the field. And the one who knows the field, that is the soul.”

So the goal is not to reject the body, but to illuminate it from within, so that it becomes an instrument of divine consciousness, not a prison.

In contemporary science, biology increasingly confirms that the body is a self-aware system. Epigenetics reveals that genes do not determine our destiny, but that our beliefs, feelings and environment change gene expression. Neurocardiology shows that the heart has its own nervous system, with the capacity for memory and decision-making, while quantum biology indicates that at the cellular level energetic frequencies are at work that organize life. Light within the cell (biophotons) can influence regeneration and communication.

The body, then, is no longer just a “machine”, as the modern medicine of past centuries saw it, but a dynamic organism of light and intelligence, capable of deep regeneration and evolution.

That is why, when we look at the body from several angles, systemic, spiritual and scientific, we discover it as an instrument of consciousness.

Not something to be fixed, but to be set free, so that it may breathe in harmony with God, with Awareness, with the Consciousness that knows.

An invitation to deeper change

If this text has touched you and you want to go further, you will find more on these themes in the books of Dr Jelena Đorđević, which are the fruit of decades of work in the field of systemic constellations, inner healing and spiritual maturing.

The books are available in our Online Shop

If you want to work on your own, at a pace that suits you, choose the Systemic Affirmations™ program that best fits your inner landscape at this moment, whether it concerns emotions, relationships, health, boundaries or the strength of the Spirit.

If you need deeper support and personal insight through work with the Field, join us at the live workshops in Belgrade and Podgorica or online, in a safe and dedicated space where silence, truth and love meet.

And if there is a calling in you to learn more, more deeply and more fully about how systemic constellations and affirmations work, how issues are set up, how the process is guided and how spiritual dynamics are recognized, we invite you to join the training through the Academy for Constellation Studies and Systemic Practice, where knowledge becomes experience, and experience leads to wisdom.

Once a month we gather and talk live, share insights, you ask questions, we grow together. There is always room for you here. Wherever you are on your path, your place already exists. Join our community through the Dr Jelena Live program.

Whether you choose a book, an affirmation, a workshop, a training or the community, choose yourself.

All it takes is conscious intention. And the path of conscious intention does not ask for perfection, but for presence. It does not ask us to know everything, but to be ready to open up.

The first step is not big. But it is true.

And when it is true, it is already bright.
