Has it ever happened to you that you changed your circumstances, partner, job or the way you react, and yet after a while you found yourself in a very similar situation?
Some patterns in our life seem to have the ability to repeat themselves.
We can notice them in partner relationships, in relationships with parents and children, at work, in the way we make decisions, or in the feeling that something invisible keeps bringing us back to a familiar place.
It is precisely such dynamics that are one of the areas we can explore through systemic constellations.
What are systemic constellations?
Systemic constellations are an experiential method that allows us to look at a particular life situation from a broader perspective.
A person does not exist in isolation.
We belong to a family, to various relationships, to business and social systems, and experiences within these systems can have a significant influence on the way we experience ourselves and others.
During constellation work, attention is not directed only at the question:
“What is happening to me?” but also: “In what kind of system is this happening, and what might I not have been able to see until now?”
On the Constellario website, systemic constellations are described precisely as an experiential method through which hidden dynamics in relationships and family systems can become more visible.
Why do certain patterns repeat?
Repetition does not necessarily mean that we are doing something “wrong”.
Sometimes it is hard to change a situation because we look only at its visible part.
For example, a person may notice that they:
- keeps entering similar partner relationships
- finds it hard to set boundaries
- carry too much responsibility for others
- has a complicated relationship with their parents
- finds it hard to accept success
- feels guilty when they choose themselves
- repeats the same conflicts
- feels that they do not belong
Systemic work can open the possibility of seeing such experiences in a broader context.
What issues do people bring to constellations?
There is no single “right” issue.
Constellation work can be devoted to a question that is important to the person right now.
This may be a relationship with a partner, parent, child or another family member.
The issue may also relate to work, making a decision, a sense of belonging, your relationship with your own worth or a pattern that has been repeating for a long time.
Sometimes a person cannot immediately define the problem precisely.
It is enough for them to recognize that there is a place in their life to which they want to give more attention.
Do constellations have to be individual?
No.
Constellario offers several ways of working: individual constellations, live group constellations and online group work. Live group workshops are intended for participants in Belgrade and Podgorica, while the online format is available via Zoom.
In group work you can set up your own issue, but you can also take part as a representative in another person's work.
Both experiences can offer a different view of systemic relationships and dynamics.
When does it make sense to come to a workshop?
You do not have to wait for the moment when everything becomes completely clear.
A workshop can be a space for exploration precisely when you feel that something keeps repeating, that a particular relationship needs attention, or that you would like to see a situation from a different perspective.
What matters most is that there is an issue you want to approach with curiosity and openness.
